Global Latitude offers a full-house design studio from our Hilton, Pietermaritzburg offices. Our unique approach to logo design is based on the premise that a brand fundamentally represents a personality.
Business subscribes to the principle that a company is a separate legal entity from the directors who own the company. From a brand development perspective, we take this concept further – that a company is an actual person with certain likes, dislikes and personality traits that makes it unique.
To identify the base brand personality, we lead clients through a series of questions that assume their business is an actual person.
How old are they?
What clothes do they like to wear?
What car do they drive?
What music do they listen to?
These are all questions that we may ask in order to gain a better understanding of “who” the business really is.
This approach enables us to understand the brand’s base personality and what colours, font’s and visual elements should be used to develop a company’s corporate identity. The company corporate identity, in turn, forms the template from which all other promotion items need to be modelled – from business cards to the company website design right the way though to signage and vehicle branding.
Fundamentally we subscribe to the concept that a brand is a personality and as such, all developments relating to the brand should reflect the base personality.
