Trash to cash for rural artists

Scrap telephone wire from a dissused FNB call centre has been turned into beautiful wire baskets by rural African artists in Weenen – an economically destitue region of South Africa.

Global Latitude has assisted the project by sourcing wire donated by FNB, providing that sexy logo and and tag design, product catalogue photos and soon a website for the sales channel – Unwabu Wire Weavers.
